A lot of pride...

Here are a few of the major accomplishments of Carmel Mini Schnauzers:

*Aljamar Honey Delite ("Candy") was bred to CH Aljamar Rabbit Punch and they produced the first multiple-black champion litter of three: CH Carmel Cracker Jack, CH Carmel Cinnamon 'N Honey, and CH Cinderella of Bon Vue. Candy became a Top Producer (of champions).

*CH Carmel Nite Life (Honey's daughter) was top black and top bitch for the year 1985. She was also the first black to win Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex at a national specialty handled by Priscilla Wells in Chicago.

*CH Carmel Nite Life was our first dog featured on the cover of Schnauzer Shorts in the June-July 1986 issue.

*In 2006, CH Hi-Line Carmel with a Twist ("Cooper") was Best of Breed at Devon (part of Montgomery County circuit) and was invited to the prestigious Eukanuba National Championships.

*"Cooper" finished ranked #4 MS in the U.S. in 2006.

*In February 2007, Cooper & Carma were awarded Best of Breed at the Westminister Kennel Club under breeder-judge Mr. David Kirkland.

*A "Cooper" son, CH Carmel Race to Kelvercrest (owned by Vera Potiker) was #1 Miniature Schnauzer in 2007 and 2008 in the United States as ranked by AKC in "Top Dogs in Conformation.

*In 2008, three dogs of Carmel breeding were ranked in the breed's Top 10 all at one time: "Trace" and CH Alpine Loft Carmel Gluhwein (owned by Karen and Brad Child) - both Cooper sons, and CH Carmel Klassi Take a Chance (black) bred by Betty Blank and Carma and owned by Betty.

*In Dec. 2009, CH Carmel Look to the Future was awarded Best of Breed and Best Bred-by Exhibitor at the Eukanuba National Championships by breeder-judge Mrs. Wyoma Clouss.
